Announcing the Texas Blockchain Committee PAC
An Open Letter to the Texas Blockchain Community.
After witnessing recent events in Washington D.C. surrounding the passage of the bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, it is apparent that the time has come to get the Texas crypto community more involved in advocating for our ability to build the future of value unimpeded.
One way to do this is to educate lawmakers about blockchain and cryptocurrency. The Texas Blockchain Council has been at the forefront of this work in Texas, putting together a Legislators’ Toolkit for Blockchain Technology and helping shape several pieces of legislation, two of which made it to the Governors’ Desk for signature this year. If you haven’t yet joined the TBC, we would love to welcome your voice and point of view in our fast-growing organization.
Another way of ensuring that our community is represented in government at all levels is to financially support those lawmakers who are open to innovation and enthusiastic about crypto and the future of finance. For this reason, we are re-activating the Texas Blockchain Committee, a nonpartisan Political Action Committee whose sole purpose is to support candidates friendly to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. The Texas Blockchain Committee PAC operates independently from the Texas Blockchain Council, but shares the same policy objectives for our state.
Please consider making a donation to the Texas Blockchain Committee PAC. These contributions will support crypto-forward lawmakers in Texas. None of your donations will go towards salaries, as everyone who works to support the Texas Blockchain Committee is a volunteer.
The Texas Blockchain Committee (the PAC) only takes donations from individuals, not corporations. We will work with our government affairs liaisons to strategically give to the campaigns of candidates and elected officials who support the crypto industry.
Together, we will show our elected leaders that the Texas crypto community has the resources and the energy to move our state and our country forward! Help kick us off with an initial donation here.
