The Legal Team Behind the EIA v. TBC Case

It is not every day that a small trade association beats the U.S. Government in a lawsuit in less than two weeks. The TBC team is certainly talented but not in the area of APA law so we turned to the experts. TBC Member Chris Davis of Gray Reed introduced us to Kara Rollins and Russ Ryan of the New Civil Liberties Alliance. Chris, a former SEC litigator, and the team at NCLA were well-placed to dive into the details of the EIA emergency survey and they did so with urgency and professionalism. Mark Siegmund of Cherry Johnson Siegmund James PLLC joined the legam team as well to provide superb local counsel in the Waco area where the case would be heard.

This group of talented legal minds coordinated an effective frontal assault on the legal logic employed by the DOJ attorneys as they attempted to defend what were clear APA violations by the DOE and EIA. The success of this legal team aligns with the NCLA’s mission of “protecting constitutional freedoms from violations by the Administrative State.”
